Looking for a fun and local place to grab a bite? Yuma has a variety of restaurants that will please both locals and visitors alike! If you’d like to see what Downton Yuma has to offer, you might want to consider one of these popular spots! 

First, you can’t go wrong with Da Boyz Italian Cuisine. This relaxed, family friendly Italian eatery offers all of the classics such as, traditional pasta dishes, homemade calzones, and gourmet pizzas. You can also enjoy wings to share, or one of their classic Italian sub sandwiches if that is more your speed. 

Next door you can find Prison Hill Brewery, Yuma’s one and only craft brewery. This establishment has been serving the community since 2014, and never fails to impress! Themed after one of Yuma’s main historical attractions, the menu features cleverly named dishes such as “The Jailbird Sandwich” or the “Southwest Bandito” salad. 

The famous Lutes Casino is a local favorite rich with history! In 1901, Lutes opened as a general store and hotel. Over the years it has changed ownership several times and is now owned by Bobby Lutes who began collecting memorabilia that is now on display in his restaurant. This fun and quirky establishment is filled from floor to ceiling with interesting trinkets and eclectic “junk”. Its unique ambiance is something that you just have to experience for yourself!

If you’re looking for a breakfast/ lunch option, check out The Garden Cafe. Just one block over on Madison Ave. you will find this quaint, tucked away gem. True to its name, you will enjoy your meal outdoors in a beautiful, shaded, garden setting. Because of its outdoor location, Garden Cafe is seasonal and closed during the hot summer months. Some of their most popular menu items include the tortilla soup, and their quiches.

Looking for something a little fancier, perhaps for a date night or birthday celebration? JT Prime always delivers an exceptional meal. You can begin your evening with one of their delicious specialty cocktails or a glass of wine from their extensive selection. Chef Alex Trujillo has served Yuma as the executive chef at various local restaurants. He now owns and operates JT Prime, and his experience and creativity shine in his dishes. Among popular menu items include the “Sizzling Hot Rock” appetizer and the “Cabernet Braised Beef Short Rib”.  

Another popular date night location is Julianna’s Steak and Seafood. Enjoy your meal indoors in the quiet and upscale dining room, or outdoors on their beautiful patio. If you’re craving a steak dinner, look no further as their menu offers various cuts to choose from. Most notably, you might enjoy their 20oz, 32–38-day dry age, bone-in, New York Strip offered at market price.

The Crossings Bar and Grill boasts “one of the best happy hours in Yuma” from 4-9pm Sunday-Thursday, 3-6pm and 8-10pm Friday, and 4-10Pm Saturday. Each night of the week The Crossings offers a different happy hour special. On Monday, 2 draft beers for the price of 1; Tuesday 2 bottled beers for the price of 1; Wednesday, buy a meal get a 14oz lager or well drink for $3.75; Thursday, $3.50 14oz Lager or $4.50 21 oz Lager; Friday, 6 wings and a beer for $9; Saturday, “Wine or Well” 2 for 1; Sunday 2 draft beers for the price of 1. Wheezy’s is a popular sports bar located in the Foothills and has all the classic bar food essentials in addition to an extensive drink menu. If you’re looking for a place to watch your favorite team play with friends, Wheezy’s is always a great choice! 

Crouse’s Flat Top Grill’s claim to fame is their “Holy Hog Sandwich”. Proclaimed as the “most talked about sandwich in Yuma”, this creation features slow smoked pork and beer braised pork belly on a Hoagie roll with Jalapeno mustard, sweet and spicy pickles, and pepper jack cheese and a side of bacon jam.

You might be visiting Yuma, or new to town, and wonder where to find the best Tacos! As a border town there is certainly no shortage of authentic Mexican fare to be found. Perhaps two of Yuma’s most popular restaurants are Mr. G’s Drive-In and the Chili Pepper. Owned and operated by the same family, Mr. G’s and the Chili Pepper are beloved by both locals and out of towners alike. Drive up to Mr. G’s for an on-the-go breakfast burrito or grab a seat at the Chili pepper for a fast casual taco dinner. 

If you're a more adventurous diner, check out Takos and Beer! In addition to the traditional fare, you will find creative twists such as gator, octopus, and lobster tacos on the menu. Brunch is also an option at Takos and Beer with offerings such as Chillaquiles, and Huevos Rancheros, in addition to the classics such as eggs benedict or Waffles. Whatever you decide, there’s something for everyone!

El Charro is one of Yuma’s oldest family-owned restaurants and has served the city for over 70 years! Of course, you can enjoy tacos here, but their extensive and authentic menu offers plenty more to choose from. Among their most popular menu items include the Steak Mexicano Dinner, Chile Relleno Dinner, albondigas, and green chili saddle. 

For a delicious and simple street taco, Baja Viches is favored by many! Their menu is short and sweet, but you’ll enjoy a flavor filled authentic taco that keeps customers coming back. The food is prepared in a food truck, and you can enjoy your meal outdoors on their patio or take it to go.
